The "Character Bible" for Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb was written by Katherine Lawrence. The Bible contains descriptions of all the characters, including back story that does not appear in the game. The description sometimes include snippets of dialogue.

The description of Prince includes this line: "What? Travellers? Goody! Bring them in! Bring them in! Things have been so dull since the last visitor, though I must say the walking stick he gave me is quite nice." Of course, by "gave" Prince really means "toll for using the pass."
