Shedding that Strip

A number of people who worked on the original Inherit the Earth game have informed me that they have no knowledge of a "Pony Tribe" — especially Ponies with yellow fur, pink manes and wings.

I'm sure I saw that in some concept sketch somewhere...

Anyway, a "corrected" version of the April 1st strip will appear on Thursday.

Chief Among Us, plus Further Confusion

This story arc finally has a title: "Chief Among Us". I will modifying the website over the next few days to reflect this.

Further Confusion is next weekend in San Jose, and we will have a dealer's table there where we will be selling copies of the comic books, the game and other items. The table will not actually be in the Dealer's Room itself, but outside in the "Furry Marketplace".

Vignettes plus Russtip Portrait

We're back to regular strips. Yeah!

I have decided to collect the two strips retelling scenes from Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb under Vignettes in the Sketches section of the site. I expect there will be more of these in the coming months (hint, hint). To those who might say these vignettes are not "sketches," I will remain you there is more then one definition of the word "sketch."

I Can't Count

Question: Why is there no strip update today?

Answer: I forgot to send the artist the breakdown for today's strip.

Explanation: None, really. I had sent her the breakdowns for the next two strips, so Falkurneeze dutifully sent me the art for what would have been next week's strip. That's when I realized I had goofed. D'oh!

So, I may post a filler strip later today or tomorrow, or maybe the artist can quickly whip-up this week's strip (crosses fingers).

Update: A filler strip it is. The Fortune Teller from Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb has an odd way of ending a consultation. Ha!

Long-time readers of the Inherit the Earth comic will know that we normally take the week between Christmas and New Years off. And, in fact, the current artist is taking a one-week break. Do not fret, though! Allison Hershey has provided a guest strip for today.

The Fox Family has previous appeared in the strips From the Mouths of Babes, Homesick, and the two-part A Letter and A Follow-Up Card.

Over the Thanksgiving Day weekend I attended LosCon, the annual Los Angeles area SF and fantasy convention. The subject of one of the panels at the con was voice acting. And one of the panelists was Richard Epcar, a voice actor on Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb.
