Here is another version of the Dog Castle. The castle is guarding the elevated pass to the Wild Lands. (The pass is on the left side.) Both this sketch and the castle drawn by Ed Lacabanne show no signs of the bits of advanced human architecture that appears in the final version of castle in the game.
